Adding Sata Power Connectors To A Power Supply Without Using Adapters.

May 20, 2018 Jon 10 Comments

I needed a more powerful power supply for my computer and didn’t want to buy a new one. I had a 450w but it didn’t have enough sata power connectors so I added 2 more to it..

Man you did like a pro I šŸ’œ really thank you for learning me to twist wires your way and to add cables
but the problem as I want to add power sata connectors to a power supply contains only power connectors with 4 pins and the sata got 5 pins
which one from the 5 to cancel

You are An i***t ever born If you open your smps by unscrewing it then you will find that there are places left to solder dc 12v , 5v and 2x gnd you can solder them their but . And the method you are doing it will divide the following ampere in equal part law by George ohm so try to open it but do it on your own and last massage you have to solder wire on the motherboard of smps as they are just simple ac to dc

buy a new psu. that cheap junk is obsolete. probably doesn't have enough current on the 12v rail so your computer is starved
