I don’t know a lot about computers . So I built this computer so I could learn more without paying out the ass to get it fixed. I kept getting that bsod too. What I found it was the ram I got 16 g in mine and I had to take one out that was bad now no problems. I had also wiped mine clean and it did not work. It was just the memory stick went bad.

Wish I could thumbs down this motor mouth twice. Shut up. Click here click here click and done your c drive is backed up to your mutha fn external. Don’t check to see if I have an external drive if I didn’t I wouldn’t be trying to watch this. Don’t “I just want to back up and talk about…” no just do what your title says and save the drama for your mama.

I fixed mine by following these steps (for Microsoft):

Right click on “My Computer” and select “Manage”
Select “Disk Management” on the left.
If a disk bar is black It could be corrupt it will say “Unallocated.”
Right clicking on the drive that has a black bar and select “Delete volume”. Right click on the drive again and select “create volume”.
Follow the on screen steps to create a Primary partition.

NOTE: Deleting the partition will cause all data on the drive to be lost.

It has been recommended that I “wipe” my computer since I keep getting the dreaded blue screen and it restarts constantly. I have an external hard drive. Do I have to go through each icon and download to prevent it from copying something that is possibly causing this problem? Is there a short cut to doing this? HELP!

You can’t set this up using default options on your computer, but you may be able to find a free piece of software online that clones the drive.

Hey there! I just wonder if there is any way to auto backup? So that everything you save on the C hardrive backs up on your external? Without you having to think about it that is

Yea – but what if you use your external drive to put all your important things on. How do you back that up? In my case, a WD 750 gig external drive. I’m so afraid it’s going to die since it’s approaching 3 years old. I’m using half the space so far.

If you don’t have any backups then you have no one to blame but yourself when you lose data. It isn’t a question of if, it is a question of when. You deserve what you get. A big fat headache and data recovery bill.
