Clear Western Digital Hard Drive (HDD) SATA BIOS Password for Free

Instructions for clearing a BIOS set SATA password on a Western Digital hard drive. If a SATA password is set on a hard drive, the drive is completely unusable. You can’t even format it. Western Digital does not provide a utility to clear and reformat a password protected hard drive. In my opinion, that is criminal! Shame on them. Clear the password so you can reformat it and do what you want with it by following this guide. ISO can be downloaded here:

    Very good tutorial !!!! Just asking what is the exact model of the foxconn motherboard you used in the tutorial cause i also have a
    WD HDD 1TB with a PW protected and my PC doesn't have that option in the IDE config.

    my zu exe takes forever to scan………. how can i fix this.. it says elapsed time.. x*xx*xx*xx*xx*xx*x til forever. dont know the right procedure i selected my drive in mhdd but it is not in the primary slot it is in number 10 on list.. can you help me please. thanks
