    I have an external hard drive that won't work it doesn't allow me to open the folder inside the external hard drive I Hoover the mouse over the folder it says empty folder I never format it so I know I have my important data, how can I recover my important data, I tried doing the chkdsk on command prompt the first time it worked but lately it doesn't work

    Have to agree that point about getting the seagate over WD. Owned 2 WD Passports and both of them keep having I/O error issues.

    hi sir im using 500 gb seagate hard drive. suddenly my hard drive not detecting and also there is some noise. now i replaced that with new hard drive. but i need files from that drive can you please help me.
