    hey maybe you have a solution for me. i have windows 10 in my laptop though I'd like yo recover info from a partitioned Drive that already contents windows vista. what would you suggest?

    I gyroed a hdd in my hand to get it to spin up when it was doing the clicking and got it to boot up and saved all my data from the drive then RMA'd it.

    Hey brother thank you for sharing. I am doing it now but it may take a few days or weeks for it to complete the fixing of the disk. If it all works out I'll definitely pitch in for some donation. Thanks for the video.

    so what you say is that if i take the cover of a hdd it turns useless? no one can fix that hdd anymore?
    i have seen a few videos of people taking the cover off, putting it back and it worked, and if that isn't enough, i can say than i did the same before watching those videos and my hdd is working just fine, i only had to know how strong i should screw the case.

    Thanks great video and demonstration – I agree with barnacules.. The drive is not dead. You can still use it – I used mine for awhile but do this at your own risk and DO NOT put any sensitive data back on the hard drive it. The drive broke and it will break again..

    oh. My hard drive has been making a clicking noise for like…. a year now. I never knew this was a real issue, thought it just did that.
