Does anyone else find this really inspiring? Shows off how magnifecent we are, and makes me want a time machine to see what we will have 100 year in the future.

A tad discrepancy when it comes to the how many bits to a byte. tcpipguide(dot)com/free/t_BinaryInformationandRepresentationBitsBytesNibbles-3.htm
The only reason I came across this bit of information what when I was hooking up a SOLO temperature controller 9696 you could specify the ” data bit length ” 7 bits or 8 bits.

The data on the outer edge of the disk is read and/or written faster than the inner edge of the disk since the outer edge rotates faster than the inner edge.

Remember: If you drop a running hard drive, you kill 100,000 airplane passengers.

This is made in 2011 yet it features the outdated PATA harddrive, characterized by the multi-pin IDE connection rather than the much simpler L-shaped SATA
