    pretty cool, i might try doing something like this with a shift register
    and a small 5 volt picaxe, although it probably wont fade out or it will
    fade all of them out (using the OE line on the register using PWM) i might
    be able to use a UCN5841 which has open collector outputs or a ‘595, im
    pretty good at PICAXE basic and made a few interesting projects using the 8
    pin ones, an 8 digit display is one of them
