Fusion Drive (128GB SSD + 1TB HDD) is the same price as a 256GB SSD atm
here in Australia (Student) It’s $220. Don’t know which one to go for,
    leaning towards the hybrid.

Nice video. Those times match up closely to what I saw on my iMac when I
moved from HDD 5400 to SSD. It’s interesting to see that the speed between
operations hasn’t changed going from Mountain Lion to Mavericks much at
    all.

I’m curious though, did you enable TRIM on the SSD prior to testing?

Are all other PC specs identical? The fusion drive looks like a different
screen meaning different laptop and possibly faster other internals making
    the test wrong.

There is something wrong with this video. SSD should be faster than fusion
drive. Maybe you pressed the power b**ton on the fusion drive a bit earlier
    than the rest.

I disagree, if your monitor colors are fairly good, then your screen with
f.lux on the correct setting should match the white page of a textbook

So… uh what did you have in mind? Seriously, if you knew anything about
f.lux, which unfortunately, you don’t seem to be very knowledgeable to say
that nicely, I don’t want to be rude, but how do you expect one to MANUALLY
change the color temp of the monitor – CONTINUOUSLY every single SECOND
actually faster that that, for an hour, perfectly matching to the numbers
to your room lighting and to the time of your local sunset which is updated
DAILY — were you going to just use your eyes?

    HDD 5400 should be illegal!

Do you see how BLUE the phone and monitors are, you can get f.lux on the
mac and if you jailbreak your iPhone you can get f.lux on that too! It
makes your screen LESS blue, more yellow color at night so relaxing

Try clean it up then? See if that helps.

Nice comparison. Just setup a Fusion Drive on my late 2009 iMac. Works
great. @VitzAustin I know it’s the Internet but that doesn’t require you to
be both ignorant AND rude. Just pick one!

How is the fusion drive actually performing better than the ssd? I don’t
    understand this.
