Hi, I accidentally set up my Seagate so that it only works on my Mac. I’d like to re-configure it, but don’t know how. Could you help me out?

Depend the expansion drive is cheaper but it also less portable. if you just need a storage drive then it’s ok but if you gonna be moving it around and taking it to places then you should go with this drive

They have larger ones now. If you can spring for a larger one, and you could use the space, go for it.
So far, I’ve had no problems, so yes, I recommend this particular one, if they still make them.

Do you still recommend it or you think of new updated one?

    Glad you enjoyed.
NOT good for playing media, though, as the drive powers down quickly (intended for backup purposes only, so they say).

For a quick erase of everything, yes.
As for format, not sure. I kept mine one continuous chunk.

    April 29, 2013 - 12:32 am

BTW, is it a good idea to format it?

  32. georgef551
    April 29, 2013 - 1:12 am

The easiest way is good ol’ “formt x:”
Where X is the drive letter. It’ll totally wipe out everything.

hey do you know how to erase all the backup?

I need to do the escalators at PLM anyway. Might do just that, although I never really noticed the strip mall.
