Replacing a 1TB Hard Drive with 240GB Kingston SSD.

You can also use this guide to replaced your hard drive.

The 1TB Hard Drive with Windows 8.1 cloned onto the 240GB SSD using Acronis True Image using a USB host adapter.

Had to turn on CSM boot and disable Secure Boot to enable booting off non UEFI device.

Big difference in performance! Thank you for watching and hopefully it was useful to you in someway. when you use the acronis true image, that will just copy the OS and the settings of the HDD to the ssd right? Or does it copy everything? (sorry never used the program and i never did anything like this)

Hi. trying to do the same with my pc.(same series)
I used a cd caddy for my ssd instead of replacing the hdd. But I'm currently unable to boot from the SSD, and it doesn't show up as a bootoption in my BIOS. (shows up everywhere else though).
How did you manage to make the SSD boot?
